Mason has been Brought in by BCG – Broadway Construction Group to engineer and manufacture Vibration Isolation systems to isolate the new 13 stories Bond Street Hotel complex that sits on top of a subway tunnel from sound and vibration. The Bond Street Hotel project located in Brooklyn NY includes Architect: Stonehill & TaylorStructural Engineer: WSP Cantor Seinuk and Acoustical Consultants: Cerami & Associates.

Mason Industries designed and manufactured a Natural Rubber Building Vibration Isolation system that included vertical column load bearings and horizontal bearings built into shear keys in the shear walls to accept the wind and seismic lateral loads.

Mason Industries provided the following:

  • Vibration isolation systems for all the Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, emergency generators, and fire protection systems.
  • Storefront vibration isolation for all retail windows.
  • Vibration isolation systems for all the elevators.
  • Wall isolation systems for all walls that cross the isolation plane of the building.
