We have been working overtime to keep up with the incredible demand for architectural ceiling isolation hangers.
We thought we would share a few photos of some recent hanger orders in production. Don’t be concerned about the disorganized piles; everything was packed up nice and neat before shipment.
The photo above shows a small hill of 30SMCC-X-113s. The 30SMCC can be attached directly to the side of a joist, which conserves ceiling height. This is a common application for conversion of old manufacturing or warehouse space to more acoustically sensitive offices or apartments. On this particular project space was not an issue and the customer requested longer rods. Special orders don’t upset us and we were pleased to customize to suit your requirements. A single 30SMCC is shown below the pile of hangers with a drawing of the 30SMCC on right.
This collection 30NCC-X-113s is a bit neater. The 30NCC hangers include a clamp to accept the 1-1/2″ primary channel that is used on many projects. The 30NCC, and all of our acoustical hangers, are pre compressed to reduce elevation changes during construction. A drawing of the 30NCC is shown on right.
A collection of W30SM-X-130s is shown in the photos above. These hangers are also for designed for attachment to the side of joist, but instead of a clamp to hold channel, they are supplied with an eyebolt for wire support.
Acoustical barrier ceilings are used to reduce noise transmission between rooms. These multiple layer sheet rock barrier ceilings should not be confused with light weight drop in acoustical ceilings, whose primary function is to absorb sound within a room, but have virtually no effect on noise transmission between rooms. The spring isolation hangers prevent noise transmission through the supporting hanger rods or wires. We have had the pleasure of working with our acoustical consulting friends to supply thousands of isolated noise barrier ceilings all around the world.
